In this challenging course you will embark on an extended cruise and cover the following topics: sailing in all types of winds and water conditions, COB procedure at night, spinnaker flying, continuous overnight sailing and "watch" systems.

PREREQUISITE Intermediate Cruising, VHF Certificate, Coastal Navigation. Also recommended First Aid and CPR.

OPTIONS

  1. Seven-to-eight-day continuous live-aboard cruise on the Great Lakes.
  2. Seven days in the Caribbean during the winter months.

FEE $1,250.00 + HST (Great Lakes option)

OBJECTIVE To be able to act safely as skipper and crew of a sailing cruiser of 10 - 15 meters, any modern rig and inboard engine, operating within 100 miles of shore by day and night in coastal or inland water in any weather.

CERTIFICATION AWARDED Sail Canada Advanced Cruising Standard or Sail Canada Advanced Crew Standard.
