Sailing Instructor Training

Have you ever thought about being able to share the joy and beauty of our sport? Do you enjoy teaching others? Then it may be time to consider becoming a Sail Canada certified instructor. We are always looking for enthusiastic instructors who are eager to share their love and passion for sailing with others!

We host the following instructor training levels:

2024 Spring Instructor Clinic (Basic Cruising, Start Keelboats Sailing, SKS to BC cross over)

 

Course Schedule:  Course training will start online followed by in person training.  The schedule is as follows:

  • Online Zoom sessions 7 – 9 PM April 2, 16, 23, 30, May 7, and May 14, 2024 if required
  • In Person,  on-water sessions May 17- May 20, 2024

2024 Basic Cruising Instructor  Course Cost:  $1141.82 tax included (Fees split into two portions:  $241.82 payable to Ontario Sailing and $900 payable to Advantage Boating).
2024 SKS to Basic Cruising Instructor Crossover Course Cost:  $1069.50 tax included (Fees split into two portions:  $169.50 payable to Ontario Sailing and $900 payable to Advantage Boating).
2024 SKS Instructor Course Cost:  $1069.50 tax included (Fees split into two portions:  $169.50 payable to Ontario Sailing and $900 payable to Advantage Boating).
